Full Description
AT THE TIME OF SURVEY (MARCH 1952) THE SOUTH WEST CORNER OF THE FIELD WAS UNDER PLOUGH AND THE DARK LINES OF THE DITCHES WERE VISIBLE. OVER A HILLOCK AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE FIELD THE PLOUGH HAD JUST TOUCHED ON A LAYER OF DARKER SOIL AND BROUGHT UP A FEW VESSEL FRAGMENTS, INCLUDING ONE OR TWO SUPPORT PIECES. {1}
