Full Description

There are medieval saltern remains around Gedney Dyke. {1} At Gedney Dyke are 14th and 15th century mounds of waste from salt making, there was once an extensive industry in the area. {2} Earthwork remains observed, centred on TF 4138 2622. {3} Well preserved saltern earthworks extend across the parkland of Hovenden House (PRN 25080). {5}
