PRN 20436 The medieval period saw a gradual shift of the focus of the settlement to the north at Fleet Hargate. A market to be held in Fleet was granted to Thomas de Multon, by King John in 1205, which was believed to have been held in Fleet Hargate. Fleet Hargate also had a hospital. {1}{3} There was a chapel with a cemetery at Fleet Hargate in about 1330. {2}
