Full Description

PROBABLY DATING FROM THE LATE C18 THIS SMALL TOWER MILL IS THOUGHT TO HAVE CEASED WORK ABOUT 1900. POSTCARDS OF THE EDWARDIAN ERA SHOW IT TO BE A THREE-STOREY TOWER, ALREADY WITHOUT ITS CAP. NO DETAILS OF ITS EQUIPMENT HAVE COME TO LIGHT SO FAR AND IT HAS BEEN USED AS A HOUSE FOR MANY YEARS. THE TWO-STOREY STUMP REMAINS, WITH A HOUSE BUILT ON ONE SIDE. {1}
