Full Description
There is documentary evidence for medieval Shepeau, although only a few sherds of pottery have been recovered during fieldwalking. It lies on the border of the parish close to watercourses, and was probably given over to sheep or cattle; the name Shepeau is at least as old as the mid 12th century and may date to the late 10th century. {1}
