Full Description

Rather large irregular enclosures formed by natural and artificial drainage channels, surveyed 1951. A hillock, some 80 ft x 150 ft of red earth, pulverized baked clay and ash, broken up vessel fragments, and baked clay lumps, was seen at A: TF27771696. There were a few indeterminate sherds of pottery. At B: TF27711698 there was a sparse domestic scatter including a little late C1st and 2nd pottery, quern fragments, and bones and teeth. {1}{2}{3}{4} Under high crop, no visual evidence of occupation. The majority of Mrs Hallam's finds are in the City and County Museum, Lincoln.{1}
