SMALL'S HAD A DRAPERS SHOP IN GEORGIAN BUILDING FROM C.1850 TO C.1920. IT IS A THREE STOREY SHOP BUILT PRE-1897 BY J H SMALL AND SON, DRAPERS AND SILK MERCERS. IT WAS LATER DIVIDED INTO TWO SHOPS ON THE GROUND FLOOR, AND VARIOUS OFFICES ON THE UPPER FLOOR. C.1990 THE TWO SHOPS WERE REUNITED AS A BUILDING SOCIETY. DECORATED GOTHIC STYLE. THE BUILDING OCCUPIES TWO MEDIEVAL PLOTS, SO NORTH HALF IS 76 FT LONG AND SOUTH SIDE IS 60 FT LONG; TOTAL WIDTH IS 41 FT 6 INS LONG. BETWEEN DOLPHIN LANE AND BONNERS LANE. {1}
