Full Description
A concrete, type 23 pillbox. It formed part of the Witham Stop Line. This type is not very common. Examples are found in Suffolk and around the industrial and port areas of north-eastern England. It provides a mounting for a light anti-aircraft machine-gun and some protection for its crew. {1}{2}{3}
