Full Description

Three-bay, concrete anti-aircraft pillbox, of the Second World War Coastal Crust. It would appear to be an adaptation of the standard type 23 design, achieved by adding a second, roofed compartment, thus making the open section with the light anti-aircraft mounting central. This model appears to be unique to Lincolnshire. The pillbox was built using wood shuttering and had tombstones painted on the sides for camouflage. {1}{2}{3}
