PRN 13410
TRIAL TRENCHES EXCAVATED IN 1988 EXPOSED THE REMAINS OF 19 SILVER STREET, AN C18 COTTAGE DEMOLISHED IN THE 1970'S. LATER BRICK REMAINS WERE ALSO ENCOUNTERED. A WALL OF C18 BRICK WITH A WELL-FINISHED ROUNDED CORNER RESTING ON A STONE PLINTH, POSSIBLE A GARDEN WALL. RUBBISH DEPOSITS AND PITS CONTAINING POTTERY OF C18-C19 DATE WERE DISCOVERED. POTTERY INCLUDED C18 IMPORTED WARES (DELFT WARE INCLUDING A NEAR COMPLETE GEORGE II COMMEMORATIVE PLATE). {1}
