PRN 13330
DURING AN EXCAVATION AT THE CORPORATION YARD/OLD POULTRY MARKET EVIDENCE OF BRICK STRUCTURES AND STAKE HOLES PROBABLY FROM FENCES ASSOCIATED WITH THESE. C15 POTTERY WAS RECOVERED FROM THE TRENCH FILL OF A WALL, AND ALSO FROM A DITCH. C18 AND C19 POTTERY WAS ALSO RECOVERED. IT IS PROBABLE THAT THE LANDSCAPE IN THIS AREA WAS NOT ACTUALLY CHANGED UNTIL THE EXPANSION OF BOSTON IN THE LATER C18 AND C19, PERHAPS AS PART OF GROUNDWORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WHITE HART HOTEL. {1}
