Full Description
A row of charity cottages built in 1846 by the muster roll charity for retired seamen and their widows. {1}
Built in 1846 to house nine aged seamen and widows. Seamen contributed to the Merchant Seaman's Fund monthly and were allocated a cottage when one became available depending on the length of their contribution to the fund. Demolished in 1990. {2}
