Full Description
NOT FAR FROM THE RED HOUSE IS A FIELD WHICH LIES AT A MUCH HIGHER LEVEL THAN SURROUNDING ONES. A BRIEF LOOK AT THIS IN THE LATE 1960'S SHOWED QUITE A LOT OF STAMFORD WARE. A NUMBER OF FOOTPATHS CROSS THIS AREA AND THE FIELDS TO THE SOUTH AND EAST - POSSIBLY INDICATING A FORMER SETTLEMENT AREA. THESE FIELDS ARE SMALL AND IRREGULAR. PERHAPS THIS IS EASTHORPE.{1}
