IN A FIELD JUST SOUTH OF HOFFLEET STOW, A HUGE LUMP OF BURNT CLAY WITH SALTERN MATERIAL WAS PLOUGHED OUT. FINDS MADE INCLUDED BOURNE D, TOYNTON ALL SAINTS, BOURNE B, AND BOURNE A PIPKIN SHERDS, ALSO FOUND WAS A LUMP OF FIRED CLAY TEMPERED WITH GRASS.{1}
