The building is not depicted on the earlier 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map, suggesting it was constructed at some point between 1886 and 1906. {1}{2} The building is single-storey, and constructed of red brick with a pitched tile roof. It appears to have been extended to the south at some point in the 20th century, and looks to still be inuse as a smithy and and agricultural implement repair yard. {3}
