Full Description

Earthworks of medieval ridge and furrow, to the south-east of Ranby. Visible as a series of parallel linear earthworks, aligned on a south-west to north-east axis. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} Slightly more extensive remains of medieval ridge and furrow can be seen on the Google Maps satellite imagery layer and on LiDAR data for this area. These additional earthworks lie to the immediate north-west of that previously identified by the NMP, and are aligned on a perpendicular north-west to south-east axis. {2}{3}
