Full Description
Traces of medieval ridge and furrow were identified in this location in September 2025, during magnetometry survey of land off Spridlington Road, Faldingworth. The remains were recorded as a blocks of parallel linear magnetic anomalies, aligned on a roughly north to south axis. A roughly east to west aligned linear feature located towards the northern end of the site subdivided the remains into two blocks. The ridge and furrow appeared to respect this feature, with the remains on either side being on slightly different alignments, suggesting the linear anomaly was a contemporary field boundary or headland feature. {1}
