Full Description
Cropmarks of a probable Iron Age or Roman field system, visible on an aerial photogrpah taken in 2009, of this area to the south-east of Highall Farm, Woodhall. The system is comprised of a series of ditched field boundaries and a possible trackway, formed by two parallel ditche approximately 7m apart and running along a rough north-west to south-east alignment. Ditched field boundaries appear to partially overlie the trackway to its north, with further boundaries appended to the southern trackway ditch. The most complete probable field measures approximately 54m by 38m, and has a sub-division in the north-west corner. Further field boundaries are located to the south and west. {1}
