Full Description

Cropmarks of a possible medieval moated site to the south of Grasby, visible on recent aerial photography, taken by Historic England in 2015. The remains comprise a wide ditch enclosed by a bank and forming a roughly rectilinear enclosure measuring roughly 150m by 85m, with a narrow neck towards its west side. The ditch appears to cut what are thought to be earlier field boundaries to the east (see MLI127859), although the exact nature of this relationship is uncertain. {1}
