Full Description
The site of a post-Medieval quarry and lime kiln on land at Red Hill, Goulceby, as depicted on historic mapping. The 1st Edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map (published 1888) depicts a stone pit with a lime kiln inside it. On the 2nd Edition map (published 1906), the pit is now unlabelled and the kiln labelled 'old limekiln', suggesting that both may have gone out of use by this time. {1}{2}
