Protected Status/Designation

Full Description

A group of rectangular enclosure cropmarks of probable Roman date on land to the north of Horbling Fen Drove, Horbling, bounded to their south by a possible east-west aligned trackway. {1} These are almost certainly associated with the larger complex of Roman features immediately to the south (see MLI20057). The 'trackway' at the southern end of the enclosures may be the route of the 'Salter's Way' (MLI33290), or may simply be a parallel track.
