Full Description

At Spittal Hill, Freiston, which adjoins the Boston to Wainfleet Road, traces of ancient foundations are to be seen in an enclosure. It is not improbable that the infirmary of St James' Priory, Freiston was situated here.{1}{2} No traces of this hospice could be identified in the area of Spittal Hill (which itself is not a hill).{1}
