Full Description

A 'tumulus' is marked in this location to the south of Freiston on the 1st edition 1" Ordnance Survey map. The mound is depicted on the later 2nd edition 25" County Series map, where it is labelled as a 'Beacon'. {1}{2} According to local information, the mound was levelled 'many years ago'. No finds are known from the site, and the site is now (1965) under crop. {3}{4}
