Full Description

Roos Hall, Freiston probably incorporated some of the old manor house, but the present front is 18th century in date. In 1343 Willian de Ros of Hamlake held the Manor of Freiston, and had a capital messuage, orchards, gardens, park, a 'dove-house' and two windmills there.{1}{2}{3}{4} The hall was demolished 'within the last 10 years' and the site has been developed.{1} A sherd of late 13th century graffito ware from Saintonge was found at Roos Hall.{6}
