A Primitive Methodist Chapel formerly stood at this location at Edinburgh Walk. Mid 19th century documentary sources refer to several Primitive Methodist Chapels within Holbeach, with one built in 1834 being replaced by another chapel in 1867. This could be the 1867 chapel, though references to other Prmitive Chapels within Holbeach are also known, and the exact origins of this chapel remain uncertain. The chapel is clearly marked on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map of 1887. The chapel continued in use until its closure c.1934-5, when a replacement chapel was built at Lutton Marsh, with the pulpit, pews and furniture from the Edinburgh Walk chapel being re-used at the new Lutton Marsh chapel (see MLI127520). The Edinburgh Walk building was then sold and converted to use as the Holbeach Albion Lodge of Odd Fellows.
