Full Description

A small discrete area of pitting into the natural sands and gravels on the site immediately south of Moor Lane, likely for local resource extraction associated with an individual holding. After being identified in geophysical survey {1} the pits were excavated and found to be wide, but not especially deep {2}{3}. Clay pipe, glazed pottery, and brick fragments were recorded.
