Full Description

A piece of worked flint showing evidence for retouching suggestive of it being used in two disinct phases. Initially the impliment was made as a combination burion/backed knife, being retouched much later to a shouldered point. The piece was assessed and a an Early Upper Palaeolithic or Upper Paleolithic date has been suggested. The flint was residual, recovered from topsoil. {1}{2}
