Full Description

Cropmarks of an oval, U-shaped ditched enclosure, visible on aerial photogrpahs taken in 1998, of this area to the north of Ulceby Lodge. The feature is elongated along its roughly east to west alignment, and measures approximately 48m by 22m. It was thought that the remains may possibly represent the remains of a levelled Neolithic long barrow. Within the ditches there is a distinct pale elongated area, thought to possibly be the remains of a levelled chalk mound. The feature appears to have been cut by a later linear ditch or boundary. {1}{2}
