Full Description

A brick and tile works shown as being disused on First Edition Ordnance Survey mapping dating to 1892, although there are several buildings shown on the plot along with associated earthworks. A brickyard to the immediate southwest has also been recorded on the map. {1} While no archaeological investigations appear to have taken place on the site, schemes in the immediate vicinity do show evidence for made ground and brick/tile waste which may be associated with the former works and yard. {2}{3}
