Full Description

Slight, upstanding earthworks were noted at Land off Gleve Close, Donington on Bain. The function of the earthworks is unclear, although based on the excavated features it is possible a shallow depression on the northern portion of the site represents a furrow on the same alignment as an area of ridge and furrow to the north. The excavators noted that if the feature is a furrow, the other earthworks on the site may represent a surviving field boundary. {1}{2}
