A series of ditches and a pit at 62 School Lane, Silk Willoughby identified in a trial trench. The purposes of the features are unclear, with one ditch containing a sherd of medieval roof tile and two sherds of clay pipe stem, and the others being undated.

Full Description

Undated and post-medieval features identified across a small, three trench evaluation at 62 School Lane, Silk Willoughby. It was not possible to assertain the nature of the features, with drainage being one possible explanation. One ditch contained a medieval tile fragment and two pieces of pipe stem suggesting it was backfilled in the 17th century. {1}{2}
