Full Description
A shallow, sub-rectangular pit, 2x1.9m wide where exposed within a trial trench, and 0.15m deep with a flat base. The fill contained a sherd of 10th to 11th century Late Saxon wheel thrown pottery. The purpose of the pit was uncertain, and it was completely sealed by the subsoil.{1}{2}
