Full Description

A large pit feature was excavated at Rose Cottage, Thornton Road, South Kelsey, and was interpreted as a probable livestock pond due to the size and the presence of a waterlogged basal fill. No finds were recovered from the feature, although it was sealed by a probable post-medieval ploughsoil, suggesting a medieval or early post-medieval date. {1}{2}
