Full Description

Two portions of ditch, thought to represent a single ditched enclosure, were identified during monitoring at Rose Cottage, Thornton Road in 2019. Given the ditch was sealed by a ploughsoil dated to the 18th or 19th century, it was considered possible during excavation that the remains were of medieval date, although this is conjectural. {1}{2}
