Full Description
A hoard of 15 silver coins (3 Elizabeth I, 2 James I, 10 Charles I, the latest, a shilling, struck 1641-3), found in a field adjoining Fishtoft Manor House at TF 363 423. Find reported by R.M. Doiley of the British Museum. Purchased by the City and County Museum in 1960, Acc. no. 48.60. {1}{2}
Fishtoft Manor House is now a private club; there is no knowledge of the find. The hoard is retained by the City and County Museum which, however, has no information concerning the circumstances of the find. {3}
