Full Description

A geophysical magnetometry survey across two land parcels was undertaken in 2006, with the results suggesting no archaeology in the southern field. {1} However excavations in 2014 recorded medieval archaeology post-dating the similar remains to the north comprising possible settlement remains in an area of low laying ground. Linear features and pitting was observed, with 174 grams of oyster shell, and quantities of animal bone suggestive of consumption recorded. Environmental evidence suggsts the site was open meadow, and subject to periodic flooding. {2}{3}
