Full Description
A geophysical survey before a proposed change of land use identified possible settlement remains off Sea Lane, Hogsthorpe. The results were more clear in the southern portion of the site, where a system of enclosures was recorded considered to be of broadly prehistoric nature. A stone axe (MLI41964) was identified as a casual find in the field, although the details and nature are unclear. The northern portion of the site did return possible features, but their nature and extent is less clear. It is possible a circular kiln or similar structure is present on the site. {1}{2}
