Full Description
A duck decoy possibly associated with other landscape features including coverts and general land management was identified during evaluation trenching at Heckington Fen. The decoy was identifiable as a pentagonal cropmark, while the survival of below ground archaeology as identfied during excavation was limited to the northern porition. It appears to have been used sporadically, going out of use in the later 19th century. {1}{2}
