Full Description
A spread of Romano British archaeology was identified at Heckington Fen during geophysical survey and evaluation. Animal bone, slag and briquetage waste associated with salt making was identified along with a series of ditches. Pottery recorded included Dales-type wares, Bourne-Greetham Shelly ware, Black Burnished, grit-tempered wares, South Carlton Creamware, Samian, amphora, and greyware. {1}{2}
