Full Description

7 sherds of Medieval pottery recovered from land to the east of St John Street, Wainfleet All Saints, during a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording of groundworks in May-August 2018. The assemblage comprised 5 sherds of Toynton Medieval Ware, 1 sherd of Toynton/Bolingbroke ware, and 1 sherd of Midlands Purple ware.
