Full Description
Cropmarks of two sections of a possible prehistoric pit alignment running northeast of Dunsby. The pit alignment sections appear to represent part of the same alignment, although they are partially obscured by geology and a post-medieval field boundary visible in 19th century Ordnance Survey mapping. Subsequent ploughing (ridge and furrow, and modern) visible in aerial photography and LiDAR has obscured the full extent of the features.
Located in close proximity to other comparable features; it is located within the same field as MLI97704 ring ditch, and is near MLI32959 (ring ditch, enclosure, pit alignment, and barrow cemetery), MLI86081 (linear features, a ditch system, enclosure, ring ditch, trackway, and pit alignment). {1}
