Full Description
Cropmark section of pit alignment east of Rippingale accompanied by parallel linear cropmarks visible on Google Earth aerial mapping from December 2010. The parallel linear feature appears to follow the broadly north to south running pit alignment. Subsequent ploughing (ridge and furrow, and modern) visible in aerial photography and LiDAR has obscured the full extent of the feature.
Located in close proximity to other comparable features MLI32959 (ring ditch, enclosure, pit alignment, and barrow cemetery), MLI86081 (linear features, a ditch system, enclosure, ring ditch, trackway, and pit alignment). {1}
