Full Description

Three undated ditches were found during archaeologial evaulation at Pallet Yard, Lincoln Road, Welton le Wold. The first ditch, found in trench 1, was 0.7 metres wide and ran north to south, with a sharp break of slope at the top and a concave base. Two ditches were found in trench 2. The northernmost ditch was 0.67 metres wide and the southern ditch was 1.35m wide, both running north west to south east. Both had a sharp break at the top and a concave base. All three ditches were cut by ridge and furrow (MLI127131), suggesting that these are probably earlier. {1}{2}
