Full Description

A north-south aligned rectangular enclosure was encountered during a magnetometry survey in May 2014, within which was a complex series of sub-enclosures. To the north and south of the enclosure were more ditches that respected its alignment; these may represent contemporary field boundaries. The enclosure is of suspected Late Iron Age-Roman date, and may be associated with the nearby Roman town of Ancaster to the north. {1}
