Full Description

Some time in about 1815, a small metal crucifix, measuring about 2 by 1.5 inches surrounded by an inscription was found at Brothertoft. The inscription read 'The token of the good rood in the walle at Boston' and suggests the existence of a holy cross or 'rood' set into a wall at Boston. {1}{2}
