Full Description

Cropmarks of a Bronze Age round barrow and pit are visible on aerial photographs, taken of this area to the north-east of Fordington House Farm. The barrow has an approximate diameter of 12m, though has been ploughed level so that only the outer circuit of ditch is visible. The pit is located to the south of the barrow, almost touching the outer circuit of ditch, and has a diameter of approximately 4m. A paleochannel runs to the west of the barrow and pit. A second round barrow and pit are located approximately 150m to the south (see MLI127008). {1}{2}
