Full Description

Former almshouses at London Road, thought to have been built in about 1835. They were said to have been built on the site of an earlier 'spital house or almshouse' founded by Sir Thomas Middlecot (or Middlehurst) in 1625, who was mayor of Boston in 1613 and 1620. The 19th century almshouses were at 55-66 London Road, and were comprised of two ranges of single storey cottages with dormer attics. The buildings were demolished c.1960. {1}{2}
