Full Description

Former school. Single storey building of coursed stone, under a pitched gabled slate roof. Stone coped southern gable with bell gable. Bell no longer in situ. Ashlar window surrounds. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that a school was built in the village by subscription in 1850. {2} The school can be seen on the 1888 and 1905 OS maps of Cranwell. {3}{4} The school is assumed to have closed shortly before the new school opened in 1963. {5}
