Full Description

Three sherds of medieval pottery were recovered in early 1996, during archaeological monitoring of groundworks for the construction of new poultry units on land at Trafalgar Farm. All three sherds were redeposited, being recovered from topsoil deposits, and were thought to have derived from manuring scatters. The assemblage was comprised of a sherd from a Humber ware jug of early 13th to late 15th century date, and two sherds of local, non-diagnostic fabric, dating from the mid 12th to late 15th century. {1}{2}
