Full Description
A 19th century public house which has been heavily altered, possibly even rebuilt. The original name may have been Bertie's Arms which is recorded in the 1842 White's Directory, which changed to the present name in the late 19th century. In the 19th century the public house was two storesy high with a pantile hip roof with at least three chimney stacks. The public house has since been enlarged and there are no longer any chimney stacks. {1}
